Welcome to My Web Site
This is my personal site. Here you will find my resume, information about my projects,
links to favourite sites...
I am an IT developer with more than 25 years of experience in the IT development
the last five of which I spent enjoing the Microsoft.NET Platform.
After working for a number of companies mostly in Sofia, Bulgaria I decided to join
the vast community of IT
freelancers.
After so many years of modeling, designing, coding, testing, debugging, supporting,
managing teams and leading projects, modifying existing code, refactoring unefficient
solutions I have managed to develop some and find out a few important features about
myself:
I can deliver the business value the customer requests regardless of how complex
it is. Actually the more complex the feature is the more enjoyable I find it. Time,
however, is of a cruicial importance when the complexity is high.
Doing complex things simple is not that simple. The
KISS principle helps. I know what it is to break it, do believe me!
The project research is "on spot" through each phase of the development process.
There's no initial "heavy weight" research phase.
I like to use the newest technologies thus preserving investments. Through the process
of developing the technology mattures and after the product is released it is reliable
and robust. I am sort of conservative however—I'd prefer to trust the leaders
amongst the technology providers.
Redesigning code is just as important as testing. I try to find time for redesign
by all reasonable means. And if it also saves money I would even insyst on redesigning.
I try to keep the code clean, well documented and supplied with enough unit tests
for the most sensitive parts. Code is more often read than written. I am amongst
the code readers too. This makes me both confident in the code and open to changes
should such necessities arise.
This is why I decided to be my own boss with all the ups and downs.
Plans and Prospects
I plan to setup a complete environment for ordering, tracking and delivery of my
freelance projects. Software sponsors would only benefit from the transparency offered
by this set of convenience tools. These are going to be installed in the near future.
If you are a project sponsor and have an idea please let me know. Improving my work
is a continuous process targeting the highest level of comfort and security for
the sponsor. Of course, ideas are not limitted to ordering a product—you may
as well suggest a tool to include in the suite of convenience tools.
A tool may or may not exist yet, it could be just an idea. I'm open to various suggestions
and discussions. Contact me with your questions and suggestions!
